Elective Information

Medical students in their 4th year of training are invited to spend two or four weeks with the Pediatric Rehabilitation Service.  Students will be involved with patient care on the Inpatient Unit, consultation service and in outpatient clinics.  This rotation will provide a broad exposure to pediatric rehabilitation medicine.  Students will be expected to research a topic of interest and give a short (10 minute) presentation at the end of their rotation.  Additionally, students will have the opportunity to shadow the therapists and gain a better understanding of recovery from serious and chronic conditions of childhood.
