Dr. Elena Fuentes-Afflick is a Professor of Pediatrics. She has been a faculty member since 1993. Her clinical interests include acculturation, immigrant health, infant mortality, Latino health, low birth weight, perinatal outcomes, prematurity, racial/ethnic disparities and socioeconomic status. Her community health interests include child health policy, immigrant health, Latino health and literacy promotion.
