![]() Scott J. Soifer, MD Professor of Pediatrics Chief, Division of Critical Care Medicine Dr. Soifer received his medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical Center. He completed his pediatric residency training at Yale University-New Haven Hospital, followed by fellowship training in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the UCSF School of Medicine. After completing a research fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine, Dr. Soifer joined the faculty at UCSF in both the divisions of Pediatric Critical Care and Cardiology. After a successful research career studying fetal and neonatal cardiac and pulmonary physiology, Dr. Soifer received a master’s degree in healthcare management from Harvard University. Dr. Soifer’s scholarly interests focus on quality of care and patient safety initiatives.
