Donations - Patient Care

For some young patients and even parents, going to the clinic can be a daunting experience. It is the goal of UCSF to make the patient environment as accommodating as possible. Future donations may be used to purchase toys or videos to occupy the children while they are waiting for an appointment or to serve as a distraction to divert patients’ attention during procedures.

One family of a patient cared for by the UCSF Pediatric Cardiology team made a donation with the request that a local artist be hired to create paintings to boost the appearance of the Pediatric Heart Clinic. These paintings now adorn the walls of the examination rooms, some of which are presented below.
